On May 27, Mr. Gong Lianquan, the deputy director of the Economic and Trade Office of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in Shanghai and director of investment promotion, and Mr. Shen Sifeng, manager of investment promotion, visited Shandong Bohanyuan Law Firm. Mr. Huo Jianping, Chairman of the Partnership Meeting, and Mr. Yang Rungang, the senior partner welcomed Mr Gong and Mr Shen.
Firstly, Mr. Gong and Mr. Shen introduced the Economic and Trade Office of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) in Shanghai to the participants. The office in Shanghai established in 2006 is one of five mainland offices set up by the HKSAR Government. The Shanghai office provides services for one city and four provinces, namely Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui and Shandong. The main function of the Shanghai office is to promote economic and trade cooperation and exchanges between the mainland and Hong Kong. Director Gong with particular emphasis that the Hong Kong government concentrate on east China area, especially the Shandong region. For Shandong enterprises, including law firm located in Hong Kong can provide a variety of support, and organize a of series seminars held by Hong Kong companies with the Hong Kong government departments, local enterprises to strengthen cooperation and contact for Shandong enterprises take good business investment in Hong Kong.
The vice President of Shandong Provincial Bar Association, Mr. Huo Jianping from Shandong Bohanyuan Law Firm was one of the first lawyers in Mainland China to be trained as a foreign-related matters lawyer. As early as 1985, Huo Jianping established a profound affinity friendship with Hong Kong. Director Huo Jianping and director Du Juan are also the first overseas lawyers registered in The Law Society of Hong Kong in Shandong Province.
