On July 18, Jia Shen, Deputy Secretary-General of Shandong Branch of China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission（CIETAC）, and a group of four people visited our firm. Chairman of partner meeting Huo Jianping and Director Gao Jianjun welcomed the guests.
During the exchange activities, Lawyer Huo Jianping reviewed the past with CIETAC and talked about the significance of the establishment of CIETAC Shandong Branch. Our firm will actively support various activities of CIETAC Shandong Branch and provide high-quality legal services for Shandong's foreign economic development. Deputy Secretary-General Jia introduced the establishment of the Shandong Branch of the CIETAC and future development plans, hoping to work closely with lawyers to give full play to the role and influence of the Shandong Branch of the CIETAC. Our director Gao Jianjun, international director Yang Rungang, and managing partner Sun Hui also put forward their opinions and suggestions in the exchange activities. Visiting with Deputy Secretary-General Jia Shen were the staff of CIETAC Shandong Branch Ma Ruiping, Zhou Yueyi and Wang Yizhen.
The CIETAC was established in April 1956 and is one of the world's major permanent commercial arbitration institutions. The Shandong Branch of the CIETAC held an unveiling ceremony in Jinan on November 3, 2018. Mr. Huo Jianping has been hired as a CIETAC arbitrator since 2014.
